Business Studies Teacher: Mrs K Mason

  Welcome to Business Studies!

Students are studying the BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate in Business.

On the BTEC course students will complete 16 assignments throughout a 2 year course.  These are broken down into 5 different units (listed below):

Assignments need to be completed in ‘controlled conditions’ (which means under teacher supervision). Students cannot do them at home BUT are able to complete research for them at home.
REMEMBER – the more you know, the better the chance you have of doing well in your assignments!

Click on the units to find a list of the assignments you will complete.  Each assignment provides:

  • The assignment objective – what you are looking to demonstrate
  • The scenario – this sets the scene for the assignment
  • The unit criteria that is addressed by the assignment – e.g. P1, P2, M1, D1
  • The tasks that you need to complete, and
  • The evidence you need to submit for marking
