The JSTC Student Council have been working closely with the Student Council at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar school in Alford on a joint community project. For the past few months now Student Council representatives have been meeting regularly to share ideas and build a good working relationship.
Their most recent collaboration has been to produce a banner design that will be displayed at both schools as a united front against all forms of discrimination. The project is part of a wider competition, with the chosen design being professionally manufactured.
Red Nose Day
This year our Student Council have elected to have a full non-uniform day and run a cake stall to raise money for the Comic Relief charity. Students made a donation of £1 to be in non-uniform which was undertaken by the vast majority. The cake sale was extremely busy and sold out during lunch time. The final total raised was an AMAZING £593.56. Well done to all involved!
