Occasionally a vacancy will become available at JSTC. Sometimes the vacancy can be for an existing job (i.e. a teaching or support position), but could be for an entirely new role identified within our every-growing desire to enable students to succeed in a modern world.
Vacancies, their details and information on how to apply will be posted below:
£10.66 per hour initially
(paid for exam time + half an hour of additional for exam preparation and completion)
JSTC are seeking to recruit a number of dedicated, professional local people to act as invigilators for examinations on prespecified dates throughout the year. These roles start in September 2021 and full training will be provided prior to commencement of the role. This work may appeal equally to professional people who have retired and those who have experience of working with secondary age children. Applicants will need to be organised, punctual and professional and have excellent interpersonal skills. The necessity to be calm and logical, the ability to work as part of a team or on a one to one basis is essential, as is the ability to show initiative and flexibility.
Experience is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
Applicants will need to be available for a designated period of time during exam periods whether these are external public examinations or internal mock exams. The usual main exam periods are January/February plus May and June for public exams with internal mock exams traditionally in November and February but this may be subject to change or additional times required. Payment will be through the completion of a claim form at the end of each month.
To apply, please complete an application form (link available below) or - for a no obligation conversation - email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you require further details on the role contact Mrs Jo Whitham, Exams Officer on 01507 462443.
Closing date for applications: 12 noon on Friday 25th June 2021
Provisional Interview date (if shortlisted): Week commencing Monday 5th July 2021
